BuddyBoost (“App”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information. When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Facebook Login, we receive basic profile information which may include: full name, email address, profile picture URL, and a unique user ID (OAuth identifier).

Support & Feedback. If you contact us, we collect the information you provide (e.g., email address, issue description).

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device & Usage Data. We collect device model, OS version, app version, timestamps of interactions, crash reports, and analytics events.

Log Data. Our servers may log details of your use of the App, including access times and pages viewed.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Account & Authentication – to authenticate your identity via Google or Facebook and maintain your session.
• App Functionality – to provide features, personalize your experience, and sync data across devices.
• Analytics & Improvement – to understand usage, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
• Support – to respond to requests and troubleshoot.
• Compliance & Security – to detect/prevent fraud, enforce Terms, and meet legal obligations.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers (e.g., Firebase, analytics providers) under contracts limiting use to services for us.
• Legal Requirements when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business Transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

BuddyBoost is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Choices

Account Deletion (in-app). You can delete your BuddyBoost account directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, we remove your personal data from our systems except where retention is required by law. Deletions are completed within 90 days.

Opt-Out of Analytics. You may disable certain analytics in your device settings where available.

8. Scheduled Data Retention & In-App Deletion

To keep BuddyBoost efficient and cost-effective, we periodically remove stale data. Challenges (including associated proof images) that have not been updated for at least twelve (12) months may be permanently deleted as part of routine maintenance, without individual notice. Consider keeping backups of information you wish to retain.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
